Workforce platform2026

Quorum

Quorum is a workforce-management platform for shift-based businesses. We built it end to end: forecast demand, build the week from that forecast, auto-fill it against real availability and contracts, then track every hour worked and what it cost — all in one place.

Overview

Managers of shift-based businesses live in spreadsheets: one for the rota, one for holidays, another for hours, and a payroll export cobbled together at the end of every week. Nothing talks to anything, and the labour cost is a nasty surprise after the fact.

We built Quorum to collapse that into a single loop. A demand forecast sizes each day, the schedule builds from it, an auto-scheduler fills shifts against availability, contracted hours and cost, and a kiosk captures the hours actually worked. The labour number moves in real time as you drag a shift — no more waiting until Monday to find out.

01

The challenge

Workforce tools are usually either a rigid enterprise rollout or a glorified spreadsheet. We had to serve hospitality, retail, care and events — each with their own rules on contracts, breaks and pay — without the product collapsing under configuration. And it had to be fast enough that a duty manager would actually build the rota in it.

02

The approach

One data model, server-authoritative, with the scheduling logic — availability, contracted hours, role matching, working-time limits — living in one place and reused by the auto-scheduler, the cost figures and the compliance checks. A calm, dense interface with a warm accent, a dark on-site kiosk for clock-in, and the whole thing shipped on Cloudflare so it stays quick from every site.

03

The outcome

A manager forecasts, builds and publishes a week in minutes, with the labour percentage visible the whole way. Time & attendance flows straight into a payroll export, and the same platform runs across multiple venues from one login.
